A Flock of Puffins

During a boat trip on the Shaky Bay, Húsavik, northern Iceland, flocks of puffins were busy and active feeding themselves and carrying food for their offspring, waiting on Flatey Island, a small abandoned island in the bay, known for its huge colony of resident puffins. The photo was taken from a boat and reflects the serenity and wilderness of the place. I love to sail and this trip of a few hours was deeply relaxing and reconnecting.

This phot is part of a project named Essays of Water in Black and White. Given the minimalist composition and the serenity transmitted, I believe the photo exhibits can be classified as Zen photography.
